fide test

The fide test assesses your French language skills through practical situations from everyday life in Switzerland. Déclic supports you throughout your preparation and welcomes you for your examination session.

A French test based on everyday life

The fide test assesses your French language skills from level A1 to B1. The exercises are based on common situations from everyday life in Switzerland, such as at work, at the doctor’s, during administrative procedures or in everyday conversations.

Developed on behalf of the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM), the test consists of two complementary parts.

Speaking and understanding

The oral section assesses your ability to understand and communicate in French in a range of everyday situations.

 Duration: 40 minutes

Reading and writing

The written section assesses your reading comprehension and your ability to communicate in writing.

Duration: 60 minutes
